	Development Plans ... Mungo Lodge is about to be reborn! Mungo Lodge first opened its doors in 1994, its aim to provide basic accommodation for visitors to Mungo National Park. Whilst the natural beauty of Mungo has captivated visitors for many years, it remained a hidden treasure, more widely known amongst academic circles than the community at large.			As the parks reputation grew, so did the expectations of visitors, who no longer saw Mungo Lodge as a stopover between explorations of the park, but a destination in itself. In recognition of the demands of an ever increasing clientele, the facilities will undergo a multi-million dollar refurbishment commencing on 8 October 2007, with expected completion in early April 2008.
